and other editions, Joaquin de Posada, Published by Anuarios de Familias
Cubanas, 2500 SW 99 Avenue, Miami, FL 33165. These books, published in 10 editions between 1967 and 1996 list
the names of all the family members (including both surnames), home
and business addresses of about 12,000 Cuban families living in exile. Originally published for many years in Cuba as the Libro de
Oro de la Sociedad Habanera (Golden Book of Habana Society) by Joaquin de Posada y de Vega (d. 1993), Society Page Reporter for
the Habana newspapers Diario de la Marina and Avance,
these books originally listed notables from Habana's society, including
business and professional people. Publication ceased after Castro
assumed power. Posada resumed publication of the books as an Anuario de Familias
Cubanas (Yearbook of [Exiled] Cuban Families) in 1967 from
Puerto Rico and later Miami. The last edition was published posthumously
in 1996. As of March 2001 we are informed that the following volumes are still
	      available from the Publisher:
1988 edition (last one published by Posada) - about 40-50 books
remain. 1996-97 edition (last edition published) - a few bound books
and several boxes of unbound books remain.

Contains 1380 entries, each one providing details
of one of the principal industrial or commercial enterprises existing in Cuba
in 1958. Typically includes the history of the enterprise, names of owners, and in some cases their relationship to other well known industrialists, merchants or politicians. Also includes information on the product brand names and on the enterprise's capitalization including major bank loans. Truly a definitive reference work, which we have found quite useful and accurate. NOTE: Although above link is for the complete work, only Volume I has been published as of 2007.
